The wildfire was first reported at approximately 2:08 p.m. on July 26 near the intersection of Mines Road and San Antonio Valley Road in the San Antonio Valley area of Santa Clara County. Since then, firefighters have worked around the clock to slow the fire’s advance, establish containment lines, and protect surrounding land.
As of Tuesday morning, officials reported that the fire had burned 283 acres. Through coordinated firefighting efforts, crews have successfully surrounded 95% of the fire’s perimeter with established control lines, significantly reducing the risk of further spread.
