Dorset Police have launched an urgent search after Linda was last seen at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, in the Lansdowne Road area of Bournemouth. Officers are conducting extensive searches and pursuing multiple lines of inquiry as they work to locate her and ensure she returns home safely.

Investigators have released a description of Linda in the hope that someone may recognize her or recall seeing her after she disappeared. She is described as being approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a slim to medium build, shoulder-length grey hair, and she wears glasses.

At the time she was last seen, Linda was wearing a black blouse and purple velvet trousers.

Police say they are especially concerned for Linda because she is vulnerable and can become confused, increasing the urgency of the search.

Inspector Mark Latter of Dorset Police said officers are working tirelessly to trace her movements and locate her as quickly as possible.

“We understand Linda is confused easily and we are concerned for her welfare,” Inspector Latter said. “Officers have been carrying out searches and making detailed inquiries to find her.”

The force is urging anyone who was in the Lansdowne Road area on Monday afternoon, or anyone who believes they may have seen Linda since then, to contact police immediately. Even the smallest piece of information could help investigators determine her movements and bring her to safety.

Missing person investigations involving elderly or vulnerable individuals are treated as a high priority, with officers deploying search teams, reviewing CCTV footage, speaking with potential witnesses, and following up on reported sightings. Police continue to coordinate their efforts while asking the public to remain vigilant.

Residents in Bournemouth and the surrounding areas are encouraged to check gardens, outbuildings, and other places where someone who is confused or disoriented may have sought shelter. Motorists and pedestrians are also asked to remain alert for anyone matching Linda’s description.

Anyone with information regarding Linda’s whereabouts or who believes they have seen her is urged to contact Dorset Police immediately, quoting the relevant missing person reference. Authorities emphasize that prompt reporting of potential sightings could play a crucial role in helping officers reunite Linda with her loved ones safely.
